The repair of the highway “Mukachevo-Rohatyn” will begin soon in Transcarpathia – Moskal

Moskal: “The restoration of the pavement of the "Mukachevo-Rohatyn" highway will begin in the coming days.” The government has not allocated money for major or medium repair of this road, therefore, the pavement will be restored at the expense of the road companies’ reserves.  On Monday, February 4, Hennadiy Moskal gathered representatives of twenty road companies working in Transcarpathia that have been repairing roads of regional and district significance over the past few years.  The only issue that was considered at the meeting was the need for urgent measures to restore the road pavement of the "Mukachevo-Rohatyn" national highway within the region.

 At the meeting, it was decided to divide bad sections of the road in Mukachevo, Irshava and Tyachiv regions between the road companies, which will begin to restore the road at the expense of their own reserves as soon as the weather permits.  In general, this will not solve the problem, but we must ensure at least minimum conditions for vehicular traffic until the allocation of funds for a real repair of this road.
