Yesterday, February 1, there was the meeting of operational headquarters to coordinate the work of local authorities, regional agencies, departments and organizations to promptly respond to emergencies related to adverse weather conditions.
The reason for this was the information of Transcarpathian Hydrometeorology Center that on 2 and 3 February heavy precipitation are expected in the region. Thus, there is a threat of slush build-up, ice formation on roads. Also, the increase of the water level in the rivers is likely.
According to the press service of the RSA, the meeting participants agreed on the following measures: the Road Service must constantly check road conditions and timely clean the roads; "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" PJSC – promptly eliminate possible effects of icing and slush build-up, social patrols comprised of the workers of the Department of Labor and Social Protection, medical institutions, MOE officers – be on duty.
