On March 27, on the stage of the Transcarpathian Regional Music and Drama Theater, there was the premiere of 2 act vaudeville "Turkish Shawl" by G. Kvitka-Osnovyanenko. It is a musical version of the works by the famous writer, produced by modern Ukrainian composer Vitaliy Filipenko.
The show was prepared for almost two months, it involves all the staff of the theater, including two casts. Director – People’s Artist of Ukraine Anatoliy Filippov, scenography – Honored Artist of Ukraine Emma Zaitseva, choreography – Taras Hamaha and Dmytro Snyozyk, conductor – Anastasia Zhuzhhova.
For the staff of the Transcarpathian Regional Music and Drama Theater, "Turkish shawl" is the second premiere of this theater season. The first was the heroic drama "Bogdan Khmelnitsky" which was presented in January. According to Anatoliy Filippov, by the end of the season, that is, June, two more interesting premieres are scheduled: T.Habbe’s tale "Magic Rings of Almanzor" and biographical drama of O.Havrosh "A good summer in Paris", dedicated to the memory of the famous Transcarpathian painter Adalbert Erdelyi.
As for the vaudeville "Turkish shawl", the second performance will take place on Sunday, March 29 at 18.00.
