This time, Transcarpathian youth gathered for the experimental music and dance party "Round Sound." For four hours, from 8 pm and 12 am, the visitors were enjoying music from vinyl records stored in the library fund.
The event organizer Oleksiy Umansky invited professional DJs and true music gourmets to the library. The librarians and the organizers tried to create a cozy club atmosphere in the reading room. And they succeeded. "Before the event, I did not imagine how it would be, but when I entered the regional library for the first time not as a reader or a visitor of a recital, I immediately realized that it was something new and that nobody had ever done anything like this at least in our city! Familiar faces, the smell of books, hospitable staff of the library, book shelves and of course vinyl sound, accompanied by comments on this or that record, created an extraordinary comfortable and cozy atmosphere. In short, I would like to thank the organizers for such a wonderful evening and friendly library employees for having patince to tolerate all that madness))" – visitor Fedir Smirnov shared his impressions.
Reading many positive reviews on social networks after the party, the organizers and the librarians believe that the experiment was a success. The atmosphere of the night is beautifully conveyed by photos of Vitaly Mariash, Robert Dovhanych, Serhiy Dubovets and Galina Kovalchuk. The employees of the main librar are not going to stop on that and are already working on new ideas and planning new creative activities that every time surprise city residents and destroy perennial stereotypes that are associated with the library.
