To date, no cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Transcarpathia. This was informed by the press service of Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.
The Regional Infectious Diseases Hospital has been designated as the institution to treat patients with suspected or confirmed COVID-2019 coronavirus. The Chief Doctor Mykhailo Polyak told that there are 8 specially equipped and isolated boxes in the hospital.
This is where they kept the woman who was brought with fever from the checkpoint "Tisa" last night on February 25. She, along with a tour group, had been traveling in Europe. They spent two days in Northern Italy, but the group did not go to the regions closed for quarantine. Doctors conducted virological tests, did not detect any diseases in the woman and other passengers. On February 26, around noon, the group left Uzhgorod.
To date, no cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Transcarpathia. All services are working together to reduce the risk of the virus getting into Ukraine.
