The branch of the regional archive will be opened at the rehabilitation center of the Ministry of Finance in Svalyava, and the dilapidated dormitory of the Technical College will be demolished

A high rise in the center of Svalyava – the former dormitory of Svalyava Technical College – has been falling apart for 15 years. It is impossible to repair the building, which poses a threat because of the likely collapse of the ceiling, but the city government can not demolish it, because the former dormitory is on the balance sheet of the Ministry of Education. The head of the RSA, who inspected the dilapidated building, promised to send its photos to the Minister of Education and Science Serhiy Kvit and thereby convince him to transfer the former dormitory to the city. The city authorities will then demolish it and eliminate the source of potential danger in the center of Svalyava.

The situation with the building of the former bank "Ukraina" in Svalyava is completely different. 10 years ago, the Finance Ministry made a rehabilitation center in it, having spent 12 million hryvnia. The building is in excellent condition, but is not used for intended purpose. By the decision of the head of the RSA, the branch of the regional archives will be opened there, and 1st floor, which is equipped with a swimming pool, there will be a children’s sports school.

– The documents have been sent to the State Property Fund, which will transfer the building to the balance sheet of the region, and we will transfer it to the archive and children’s sports school, – H. Moskal said.
