The queue of trucks on the Slovak border near Uzhgorod has already increased to 500 trucks, more trucks keep coming.
This was reported in a comment to the Ukrinform correspondent by the press service of the Chop Border Guard Detachment.
“The number of trucks waiting in front of the checkpoint "Uzhgorod-Vysne Nemecke" has reached five hundred, and it is projected to increase until Polish licenses for trucks are opened. At present, the situation looks like the trucks keep coming, so the queue will increase,” – the Chop Border Guard Detachment commented the situation.
Border guards usually process 50-80 trucks at this checkpoint, but now they process the same amount per shift, ie 12 hours.
As reported by the Chop Border Guard Detachment, the tense situation on the Ukrainian-Slovak border has been going on since October 16. There is no prospect of alleviating the situation at this time.
