In order to give Transcarpathians opportunity to receive quality primary legal assistance on matters within the competence of the migration service, the Main Department of the State Migration Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region opened the public reception. Reception of citizens is carried out on Mondays and Thursdays.
Professional employees of the regional migration service – passport, citizenship and registration of individuals department, foreigners and refugees department, legal sector – work in the public reception.
The most frequent visitors of the reception are retirees, unemployed citizens, people with large families, foreigners residing in the region. Only during the last week, within nationwide week of law, 15 people have received free legal advice on the implementation and protection of rights in the field of migration, citizenship, registration, housing law. Overall, since the establishment of the Public Reception of the Main Department of the State Migration Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region, almost fifty Transcarpathian have appealed there.
