On Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 15.00, in the small hall of the Academic Council of Uzhgorod National University (Narodna Square, 3, Uzhgorod, 2nd floor), there will be a public discussion on "Community and majoritarian deputies of Transcarpathia: search of interaction through the lens of a constituency."
During the event, representatives of the OPORA will present the purpose of the OPORA monitoring campaign in 105 constituencies and the analysis of the activity in the constituencies and in the Parliament of the deputies representing Transcarpathian region. During the event, they will discuss the functions of the deputies and mechanisms for citizens’ participation in the legislative process, opportunities for interaction between voters and MPs and problems of local communities, which can be solved at the level of the Parliament with the participation of the deputies, officials of local governments, public activists.
Journalists, representatives of NGOs and people’s deputies of Ukraine are invited to participate in this event.
The event is organized by the OPORA with the support of the USAID Program "RADA: accountability, responsibility, democratic parliamentary representation", carried out by the Eastern Europe Fund.
