Yesterday uzhgorod.in informed about the land conflict in Uzhgorod. More than ten years ago, the land around the village of Rativtsi in Uzhgorod district became the subject of disputes between an agricultural firm and the village council. As the press service of the regional prosecutor’s office reported, law enforcement officers in this debate sided with the "Elita" firm.
Following the inspection on May 18, 2012, Uzhgorod Interdistrict Prosecutor’s Office filed a protest against the decision of Rativtsi Village Council dd. April 18, 2008 "On recognition of immovable objects as ownerless", whereby immovable objects of the state-owned research enterprise "Agricultural firm "Elita." were actually declared ownerless.
Uzhgorod inter-district prosecutor Ivan Tsar said: "Since this decision was made in violation of the law of Ukraine "On Local Self-Government in Ukraine", "On the peculiarities of the legal regime of the National Academy of Sciences and the status of their property portfolio", we protested it.
After review of the protest on May 31, 2012 by Rativtsi village council, it was denied, and therefore Inter-district Prosecutor’s Office filed a claim to Rativtsi village council with the Transcarpathian Regional Administrative Court to cancel this decision of Rativtsi village council. Representatives of the state-owned research enterprise "Agricultural firm "Elite" and of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine are also involved the case.
"At present, the case is being considered in court. The trial was postponed for May 15" – Ivan Tsar said.
