At the briefing in Uzhgorod, Prosecutor General Lutsenko, answering the questions about high-profile corruption cases, asked journalists and the public for support in courts.
As for the case of the Uzhgorod "Crown", the monument of architecture, which became the victim of a scam, he complains about delays.
He says that the criminal proceedings have been reopened, but there are problems with the examination, that is why it’s taking so long. He noted that he keeps the case under control and knows that in Uzhgorod this is not the only violation in the field of historical and architectural heritage.
However, he complains about the complexity of the mechanisms in the law enforcement and judicial sphere, which delays this process, including the shortage of experts and investigating judges.
Responding to specific questions of journalists about the "Crown" case, Yuriy Lutsenko promised to appeal to the Minister of Justice with a request to accelerate the examination, which, in turn, will make it possible to further investigate, respond and bring the case to court.
