“The Prime Minister of Subcarpathian Rus” is wanted and charged with separatism

Petro Hetsko, who is already wanted, has been notified on suspicion of encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine

The department for supervision over the observance of laws by the bodies of the Security Service of Ukraine, SCS, SBS of the regional prosecutor’s office agreed to the notification of Petro Hetsko on suspicion of having committed a criminal offense under Part 2 of Art.110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine committed repeatedly by previous concert of a group of people).

In addition, Petro Hetsko is already in the wanted list.

Recall that on March 20, the investigation unit of the Security Service of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region registered in the Unified register of pre-trial investigations the information on the criminal offense under Part 2 of Art.110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine committed repeatedly by prior conspiracy.

The investigation revealed that during January-March 2014, the so-called self-proclaimed Prime Minister of the Republic of Subcarpathian Rus Petro Hetsko, acting by prior agreement with so far unidentified persons, on public information resources on the Internet distributed an article that contained the appeal of Transcarpathian Rusyns to Russian President Putin VV requesting to carry out peacekeeping operations, restore and recognize the statehood of the Republic of Subcarpathian Rus.

In addition, a citizen of Ukraine P.Hetsko, in an interview to a Russian TV channel, publicly called for a change of the administrative-territorial structure of Ukraine by the recognition of the Republic of Subcarpathian Rus and not to recognize the unitary Ukraine.

Those actions of Petro Hetsko were qualified by the pretrial investigation under Part 2 of Art.110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, he has been notified of suspicion and put in the wanted list. Currently, all the necessary investigative (detective) measures aimed at establishing his whereabouts and all persons involved in this criminal offense are being carried out.
