The police seized two knives and shotgun ammunition from a drunk man

While patrolling, officers of the Dubove police station stopped a man who was in a state of heavy alcohol intoxication.

A report about that was drawn up under Art. 178 of the CAO, ie drinking beer, alcohol, low alcohol beverages in prohibited places or appearing drunken in public places. When documenting this offense, two knives and 21 cartridges for shotgun were found on the man. The weapon was seized from the 29-year-old local resident and sent for examination. 

A criminal proceeding over this incident was initiated under Part 2 of Art. 263 of the CCU, ie carryring, manufacturing, repairing or selling daggers, Finnish knives, brass knuckles or other melee weapons without a statutory permit. Such an offense is punishable by a fine of up to fifty non-taxable minimum incomes, or restraint of liberty for a term of two to five years, or imprisonment for a term of up to three years.
