Almost too late due to early spring, the festival "Sakura Fest" has opened in Uzhgorod. Many tourists, visitors of the city have had time to see and admire sakuras, magnolias and other flowering trees which pleased with abundant flowering and incredible smell.
The "Sakura Fest" is the first of this year’s major festivals in the city. It is dedicated to the cherry blossom, which has long been a highlight of Transcarpathia and each year attracts thousands of tourists from around the world to our region.
The festival was opened by Uzhgorod Mayor Bogdan Andriyiv. He wished Uzhgorod residents and visitors a fun and memorable celebration, the galagov.tv informs.
The highlight of the festival was the performance of the Regional Police Department Orchestra under the direction of Major Oleksandr Belovych. During the hour long performance, the police musicians performed a number of popular and Ukrainian melodies and received a lot of sincere applause. See the moments of the holiday in the video.
