The police have spoken

The website of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs published official information about the events in the Vehesh’s house.

Yesterday, a 23-year resident of the city reported to Uzhgorod city police that around 23.00, three unknown men in masks had committed robbery in the house of his father. 

At the scene, it was found out that the attackers had been well prepared: masks, gloves, black jackets and pants, military boots, armed with objects similar to guns. The robbers entered the house through unlocked door of the terrace on the first floor. First they came into the kitchen, where they found the former rector of one of the regional universities with his wife.

Threatening with objects similar to guns, they demanded from the owners money and valuables. Having not getting the what they wanted, they went up to the second floor of the house, where there was the son of the victims, who, upon hearing the noise in the house, unexpectedly started actively resisting the attackers. Another culprit, defending his accomplice, shot the victim in the stomach and ripped a gold chain from his neck. Then, the attackers fled in an unknown direction. 

Fortunately, none of the family was hurt, but they were rather shocked. The attackers, probably, were using airguns. Currently, the police are taking measures to identify and detain the criminals.
