The police have caught Transcarpathian schoolchildren, who robbed a pensioner

Two schoolchildren, who had broken into the house of a resident of the village of Kobyletska Polyana in Rakhiv district, were detained by the police. The children stole a laptop and two mobile phones worth 9 thousand hryvnia.A criminal proceeding over the theft was initiated.

A 63-year-old resident of the village of Kobyletska Polyana appealed to the Rakhiv police. The man reported that unknown person had entered into his house through the open window in the living room, and stolen from there a laptop and two mobile phones. 

The police investigators found out that the thieves were local schoolchildren. One of them is a student of 9th grade, the other one is to be identified. As the investigator, who is investigating the case, has found out, the boys climbed through the window, stole the gadgets and tried to escape. However, they were noticed by the owner of the house. 

At the moment, the stolen items have been seized and returned to the owner. Investigator of the Rakhiv Police Department opened a criminal proceeding over the theft with breaking and entering in accordance with Part 3 of Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The investigation is ongoing.
