The police found the men who had attacked an Uzhgorod resident

Officers of the criminal police department of Uzhgorod police identified and tracked down the suspects in the robbery in the regional center of Transcarpathia.

A resident of Uzhgorod reported to the police that two men had attacked him, knocked him to the ground and took his personal belongings. The investigative team at the scene found out that the attackers had taken from the victim an iPhone, a wallet with money and bank cards. The amount of damage was estimated at 8,000 hryvnia.

The police quickly identified the persons involved in the robbery. The first one, a 29-year-old man, was tracked down immediately. He was notified of being suspected under Part 2 of Art. 187 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, that is robbery committed on preliminary arrangement by a group of persons or a person, who has previously committed robbery or banditry. Such acts are punishable by imprisonment for a term of seven to ten years with confiscation of property.

Yesterday, on January 1, the second participant of the robbery was found – a 34-year-old resident of Uzhgorod who had been repeatedly prosecuted for crimes against property. He was put to a temporary detention facility. The investigation continues.
