According to the spokeswoman of the Police Department Denisa Balogova, the police noticed that an aircraft was moving in the forbidden airspace, flying low and at an unusual time. Therefore, the information about the suspicious aircraft was reported to the operational service, which informed all police patrols in the area.
"Following a 158 call, it was found out that the plane had landed in Gatalov, in the vicinity of Michalovce. When the police patrols arrived, the plane had already departed, but ten people were left at the landing site", – D. Balogova said.
The police took the foreigners to the Border Police Department to find out the details of their travel to Slovakia. During the conversation, they reported that they were citizens of India.
"The following actions will lead to readmission, that is, they will be returned to Ukraine. The investigator was called to the place, he started the investigation over smuggling and illegal crossing of the state border," – D. Balogova said.
The Slovak police immediately informed the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine about this incident and on Friday they held a joint meeting, during which they agreed on further steps in the investigation of this case.
"The air forces of the Slovak Republic were also informed," – D.Balogova said.
