The law enforcement officers of the Beregovo Police Department documented the illegal cultivation of hemp. The narcotic plants were sent for examination. The investigation has been initiated.
Illegal plantations of plants similar to hemp were found by police officers of Beregovo. It was established that a 57-year-old unemployed resident of Beregovo had planted narcotic plants in the "Chizay" tract. As the man explained, he planted the hemp for his own consumption.
The seized 11 plants were sent for examination.
The Beregovo police initiated a criminal proceeding under Part 1 of Art. 310 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, that is, illegal planting or cultivation of hemp, punishable by a fine of up to fifty non-taxable minimum incomes, or arrest for a term of up to six months, or restraint of liberty for a term of up to three years.
