The police ensured public order during yesterday’s protest in Khust district

Yesterday, on December, 28th, the police received a report from Berezovo village council about the blocking of the highway Khust-Dolyna.

The management of the Khust police department, the investigative team, and the response team of the patrol police arrived at the scene. In total, 10 policemen were working at the scene. Law enforcements officers found out that on the 110th kilometer of the road Khust-Dolyna opposite the Berezovo village council, on a pedestrian crossing, a hundred residents of the district held a peaceful protest against a construction on the Rika river. The police prevented any violations of public order and provided a detour through the nearest settlement – the village of Kolochava.

The protest lasted for about an hour. Officers of the Khust Police Department are currently determining the legal classification of this incident.
