In the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, there is an internal security service. Its main task is to detect, prevent and suppress crimes, corruption and other illegal acts, prepared or committed by officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and to protect the police officials from obstructing in perfomance of their duties.
