In July, officers of the traffic service of the Patrol Police Office in Uzhgorod and Mukachevo in cooperation with the Road Service of Transcarpathian region and the State Research Institute of the Ukravtodor analyzed accident concentration sites and dangerous sections of the road.
The research and analysis was carried out for the road of national importance Kyiv-Chop.
The period from 2013 to 2015 was studied.
4 dangerous areas on the Kyiv-Chop highway were identified, their total length is 4.376 meters.
Besides, patrol police officers determined 18 traffic accident concentration sites, the most common of which are: the descent from the Latirsky pass, the bend to the village of Abranka and the village of Pidpolozzya in Volovets district, the bend near the village of Chynadiyevo in Mukachevo district, the ring road at the entrance to Mukachevo, the crossroad in the village of Rakoshyno, the bend to the village of Chervenyovo in Mukachevo district, the stretch of the road in the village of Rozivka.
The main causes of accidents are speeding, failure to maintain minimum distances and violation of overtaking rules.
