The police detained a Transcarpathian who was selling grenades (PHOTOS)

Employees of the regional department of criminal investigation received operative information that a resident of Perechyn district was looking for buyers for weapons, in particular grenades. 

Police officers together with colleagues from the military counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine detained the offender 

On March 23, in the evening, in the village of Turytsya in Perechyn district.

a 21-year-old man sold two grenades RGD-5 and F-1 for 2,700 UAH. During the search in the detainee’s house, the police found another grenade, cartridges to the Kalashnikov, 4 hunting knives, body armor and a helmet.

The police started criminal proceeding over this incident under Part 1 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal handling of weapons and ammunition). 

All the seized items were sent for examination. 

The police are establishing where the criminal got the arsenal from. 

Investigators are deciding on the choice of pretrial restraint against the suspect. 

The preliminary inquiry is ongoing.
