The police check Pogorelov’s activities during his first term

The police of the regional center started reviewing the use of the budget funds for the renovation of the heating system in the school number 7.

During the verification of the legality of the budget funds spending it was established that according to the tender, held in 2005 by the Capital Construction Department of Uzhgorod City Council to renovate the heating system in the school, the PE "Spilka" had been declared the winner.

They concluded a 734,000 UAH contract with the company. The company completed works only in 2010, after the local elections.  

According to the documents, the cost of the reconstruction was 772,000 UAH. However, according to the conclusion of the construction and technical expertise specialist, the actual cost of the scope of works performed was 580,000 UAH.

Law enforcement officers found out that the company officials had made false statements to reports on works performed, and inflated the cost by 191,000 UAH. The investigation continues.
