The police arrested a thief, who committed about a dozen thefts

Yesterday, October 13, around 8 o’clock am, an agitated man reported to Tyachiv Police Department about the theft from his car "VAZ 2107".

The 34-year-old resident of the village of Uhlya in Tyachiv district told the police that in the morning he had noticed that somebody had broken into his car.

The investigative team arrived at the scene. They found out that the thief had stolen a battery, a car stereo, a set of keys and a back seat. In addition, the criminal drained all gasoline from the tank.

Tyachiv police officers promptly identified the criminal – a 33-year-old previously convicted resident of Tyachiv. During the preliminary investigation, the police found out that he was involved in eight similar thefts in the city and district.

The investigators are preparing all the necessary documents to forward the proceeding to the court, which will impose the punishment on the thief.
