The police are investigating yesterday’s accident, which resulted in the death of the driver died and hospitalization of her children

The police are determining the circumstances of the road accident, which resulted in the death of a resident of Velyky Berezny and hospitalization of her children and another passenger. A criminal proceeding over this incident has been initiated.

Yesterday, December 4, at about 14:00, an accident occurred in the village of Mircha in Velyky Berezny district. A 40-year-old resident of the town of Velyky Berezny, moving in her own car "Peugeot-406", at the entrance to the village of Mircha, lost control, drove into a ditch and ran into a tree. As a result of the accident, the driver died on the spot. Besides her, there were her children – a 19-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl – and another 19-year-old passenger in the car. They sufferred injuries of varying severity and were hospitalized to the district hospital. Today they were sent for an additional examination to the regional hospital.

The police opened a criminal proceeding over the accident under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of the traffic rules resulting in the death of the victim). The car was taken to the impound lot of the Velyky Berezny district police station. The pre-trial investigation continues.
