Officers of the Tyachiv police department are establishing the circumstances of the traffic accident in the village of Lazy, where a drunk man on a motorcycle lost control and drove into the fence. As a result, his 4-year-old son was injured.
Yesterday, July 30, the police received a report of an accident in the village of Lazy, Tyachiv district. The investigative-operative group at the scene found out that a local resident and his young son were riding a motorcycle, the driver lost control and drove into the ditch. As a result, the child sufferred a head injury. The boy was hospitalized to the intensive care unit of the Tyachiv district hospital. Police found out that the driver was in a state of intoxication.
A criminal proceeding over this incident was initiated under Part 1 of Art. 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, that is, violation of the rules of road safety or the operation of transport by driver, which caused moderate bodily injury. This offense is punishable by a fine of two hundred to five hundred untaxed minimum incomes, or correctional labor for up to two years, or arrest for up to six months or imprisonment for up to three years with or without deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
The investigation continues.
