The person has been identified, there is enough evidence – the court will make the final decision

A resourceful businessman, in one of the unfinished buildings in Uzhgorod district, organized illegal manufacture of alcoholic beverages, which was distributed to people. During the search, officers of the regional Ministry of Income office found and seized from him 600 liters of alcohol, more than 900 bottles of counterfeit vodka, equipment for the manufacture of excisable goods and more than 11,000 counterfeit excise tax stamps.

Currently the Financial Investigation Department of the Main Office of the Ministry of Income in Transcarpathian region have completed preliminary inquiry regarding this resident of Uzhgorod district over illegal manufacture, storage and sale of illegally produced alcoholic beverages. On June 10, the indictment against the suspect was sent to court.  

– In general, since the beginning of the year, in Transcarpathian region, seven persons have been notified of suspision of committing criminal offenses under Articles 199, 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – officers of the Main Office of the Ministry of Income in Transcarpathian region reported, and added – Illicit distribution of excisable goods is violation of two key principles: the funds thus acquired do not bring revenues to the budget, and the goods produced in "artisanal" conditions are often dangerous to life and health. The management of the Ministry of Income initiated a range of measures, aimed at de-shadowing and fighting the "black" market of the production and distribution of excisable goods, in particular – a nationwide operation "Excise-2014", which has been being held in Ukraine since the beginning of the year.
