The number of trucks waiting at the checkpoint “Uzhgorod” is still significant

The number of trucks at the checkpoint "Uzhgorod", though decreased, is still significant.

The reason for this is, first of all, the preference of international carriers to cross the Ukrainian-Slovak border. According to drivers, this is attributable to the difficulties in obtaining permits for the transportation of goods by territories of other states. The cost of Slovak licenses is much lower, as well as transportation costs. As a result, truck drivers cause queues.

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, together with Slovak colleagues, is taking all the necessary measures to accelerate the operations. Border guards are working in regular mode. There are no delays on the part of the SBGS. Note that the checkpoint "Uzhgorod" is the only one carrying out clearence of trucks at the Ukrainian-Slovak border.

Given the current situation, the State Border Guard Service advises drivers to choose other crossing points for cargo transportation.
