The Transcarpathian Regional Palace of Children and Youth Creativity "PADIYUN" officially celebrated the beginning of the 2013-14 academic year. For the first time in recent years, the celebration took place not at the institution building, as usual, but on the city’s central square. This made it possible to gather not only the pupils and their parents, but also to give holiday to Uzhgorod residents. Kids were especially happy for there was a special program for them – art flashmob, clowns, drawings on asphalt and other artistic entertainment. During the opening, the band "Lautari" and the folk ensemble "Dzhereltsya" performed on Teatralna square, and mimes entertained the audience during the holiday.
At the meeting, teachers of the aesthetic education school were also working with parents. Everyone could receive all the information about each of the departments of the institution and could enroll their child to different groups. Thus everyone could get acquainted with the "PADIYUN."
Every year, during the closing and opening of the school year, students conduct surveys to learn about preferences of Transcarpathians, what they are most interested in and which activities students and their parents prefer. Thus, according to the survey, residents of the region are mostly interested in dance styles, art groups and, unexpectedly, folk groups turned out to be pretty popular. Currently, it is one of the largest departments in the "PADIYUN."
The innovation of this year is the opening of the pottery group.
As the deputy director on educational work Halyna Penderetska noted, both teachers, and the institution itself are ready for the school year. The main thing is that the young countrymen had the desire to create, to work and to realize their creative inspiration.
