On Saturday, May 13, the Neighborliness Day 2017 was celebrated at the international checkpoint "Ubl’a – Maly Berezny" on Ukrainian-Slovak border. The delegations of Slovakia and Ukraine in festive outfits, professional artists and amateur folk groups – all that created a festive mood and the spirit of a real European neighborliness.
The event was attended by the head of Prešov self-governing region Peter Chudik, the head of Košice self-governing region Zdenko Trebul’a, the chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Council Mykhailo Rivis and the head of the RSA Hennadiy Moskal.
The brass band of Uzhgorod State Musical College performed the anthems of Ukraine, Slovakia, European Union.
Then, there was the ceremony of document signing. First, the executive protocol to the Memorandum of Cooperation between Presov self-governing region, Kosice self-governing region, Transcarpathian Regional State Administration and the Transcarpathian Regional Council for the period from May 2017 to May 2018, which was signed by Peter Chudik, Hennadiy Moskal, Mykhailo Rivis.
The similar executive protocol to the Memorandum of Cooperation with Kosice self-governing region was signed by Zdenyk Trebul’a and the Transcarpathian officials.
After the official part, the members of the delegations listened to beautiful Ukrainian and Slovak folk songs, visited the tents of Košice and Prešov self-governing regions and districts of Transcarpathia, tried delicious food and drinks.
