Assets of banks in Ukraine in October 2013 compared with the previous month have increased by 0.8% – to 1.244 trillion hryvnias.
This was stated by the National Bank of Ukraine, "UNIAN" reported.
According to the NBU, since the beginning of the year, the growth of the banking system assets has been 10.4%.
Total assets of banks in October compared with the previous month have increased by 0.8% – to UAH 1.378 trillion, since the beginning of the year the growth has been 8.7%.
In total assets, the loans accounted for 63%, investment in securities – 9.2%, accounts receivable – 6.7%, correspondent accounts in other banks – 6.2%, cash, precious metals and funds in the National Bank – 5 2%, fixed assets and intangible assets – 4%, accrued income – 4.1%.
The banks’ obligations in October have increased by 1% – to UAH 1.062 trillion, including the money of individuals accounting for UAH 428.8 billion, or 40.4%, the money of economic entities – UAH 215.9 billion, or 20.3 %, interbank loans and deposits – UAH 105.5 billion, or 9.9%.
The capital of banks in October has increased by 0.6% – to UAH 182.3 billion, accounting for 14.6% of the banks’ liabilities. The paid authorized capital of banks has increased by 1.4% and as of November 1 was UAH 183.5 billion.
As of November 1, 2013, 181 banks of Ukraine received the NBU license to conduct banking activities.
