On June 11, at 10.30 am, true fans of bicycle travels will gather on Teatralna Square in Uzhgorod to start an ambitious nationwide bike adventure – the journey along the "Embroidered Path" route. The starting event will take place from 10.30 to 12.00. The event will be attended by registered participants of the bicycle race (about 40), the organizers of the social tourism project "Embroidered Path", representatives of the city administration, volunteers and the public.
The coordinator Katerina Hanus will make a short presentation of the project, and a representative of the Uzhgorod bicycle community Eduard Taturevych will hold a mini-lecture on safety during mass cycling events. During the event, there will be a flashmob during which the participants, volunteers and guests will form large letters "START", which will symbolize the ceremonial beginning of the bike adventure. The flashmob will be photographed by drones from above. The departure of participants (start of the bike ride) will take place at 12.00.
From Uzhgorod, the group of pioneers of the "Embroidered Path" will head to Mukachevo, where they will be met by the local coordinator, who will conduct a tour of the city. The group will spend the first night in the castle of love St. Miklos in the village of Chynadiyevo. The next stops on the route will be Lviv, Pochaiv, Kremenets, Ostrog, Zhytomyr, Radomyshl more. The group will finish on June 28 in Kyiv on Maidan Nezalezhnosti, where they will meet with the cyclists, who will have travelled the other half of the route – from Kharkiv to Kyiv.
The organizers invite everyone to attend the starting event in Uzhgorod, join the flashmob, becoming a part of incredible cycling adventure.
