The Avellana Gold concentrator is currently operating it.
According to the head of Transcarpathia Oleksiy Petrov, the commencement of the enterprise’s operation is, first of all, additional investments in the community budget and new jobs.
The last time the enterprise was launched was in 2005, it went bankrupt, so no production processes have been taking place there.
The company will first process the ore left over from gold mining in previous years. It is still stored at the factory.
According to Andriy Smolin, the head of the Ukrainian office of Avellana Gold, the factory employs more than 30 people.
The company will process 500,000 tons of ore a year and will pay more than 250 million hryvnias in taxes, the press service of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration reported.
