The miraculous “Iver” icon of the Virgin has been delivered to Uzhgorod

The official website of Mukachevo Orthodox Diocese reports that yesterday the miraculous icon of the "Iver" Virgin has been delivered to Uzhgorod from Kirovka in Vinnytsia region. First, the priests brought the icon to Uzhgorod city center for pensioners and disabled seniors and the Rehabilitation Center "Way of Life". Then, the icon was taken to the Holy Trinity Church in Bozdosh Park, the Pro Zahid wrote.

There, they held prayer before the icon, after which cleric of Vinnytsia diocese, Fr Vitaliy Trach told about the history of the icon. The icon was purchased in Brailov convent near Vinnytsia. And in 2007, in the church of Kirovka, it began "crying" along with two other icons. All three icons of Kirovka are considered miraculous. Now they are being carried around throughout Ukraine.

In Uzhgorod, faithfuls were praying all night near the icon. People were also handed out pieces of wool with myrrh from the icon. On Monday, the icon will leave Uzhgorod, but before that, they will take it to the local prison and then drive around Uzhgorod in a car.
