The Department of Communications of the Transcarpathian Regional Police officially reported the following. The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov awarded the deputy chief of Uzhgorod police department – the head of the criminal police Yuriy Kerekanych with an incentive award of the MIA – a "Fort" pistol.
Recently, the CID officers celebrated their professional holiday – the 98th anniversary. On this occasion, a group of the best Transcarpathian detectives received the awards of the MIA of Ukraine.
In particular, 43-year-old police major Yuriy Kerekanych – the deputy chief of Uzhgorod police department – the head of the criminal police – received from the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov an honorary "Fort" pistol.
Yuriy Kerekanych has been working in Uzhgorod police department since 2005. He worked his way from a detective to the head of the criminal investigation. In November 2015, he was appointed the deputy chief of Uzhgorod Police Department. Under his leadership, the staff of the criminal police solved a number of crimes: a murder, a robbery, 14 burglaries, 34 thefts, 3 extortions, 3 car thefts. etc.
Major Yuriy Kerekanych is also a participant of the ATO in Eastern Ukraine.
