The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine is developing new changes to the traffic rules for the next year, including the introduction of speed limits for vehicles in settlements up to 50 kilometers per hour.
"This year we are not planning to make changes, but we are developing changes for the following year and, if necessary, we will introduce them.
We are considering the issue of reduction of speed in settlements to 50 kilometers," – the director of road safety and automated systems center at the MIA Serhiy Budnik said on Monday, November 11, in Kyiv.
According to him, they are also considering changes to the traffic rules regarding the mandatory use of tires in accordance with the season, the use of reflective elements by pedestrians and reflective vests by drivers, if they go on the road at night, the "Interfax" reported.
