A year ago, on B. Khmelnytsky square in Uzhgorod, activists showed initiative and unveiled the memorial to the first Cossack leader, who was officially granted the title of hetman – Bohdan Khmelnytsky.

As for the exterior of the monument, there were certain complaints, but such a manifestation of patriotism still had the right to be. Especially since it was officially unveiled by Uzhgorod Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv.

But for several days now, the wooden monument has been like this. It was pulled out of the ground and put against a tree.
