Today, August 15, at 16.00 in the Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture and Life, the jubilee exhibition of paintings by a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine Spiridon Pavlenko titled "Melody of Life", opens. By the way, his favorite Transcarpathian artists are Echi Seman and Pavlo Bedzir, the latter, according to Mr. Spiridon, had a considerable influence on him.
During the 20 years of cooperation with the artists of our region, he managed to organize more than a dozen plein airs in the mountains of Transcarpathia and on the Black Sea, the first of which was held in spring 2003 in the village of Soimy in Mizhhirya district.
In addition to painting (he likes to paint landscapes and still lifes), Spiridon Pavlenko works as a muralist. By the way, he took part in the monumental decorative paintings of cathedrals and churches in Odesa.
Art critic Lyudmila Popova, describing the works of S.Pavlenko, says: "With his subtle colors he creates poetic, harmonious and sometimes rebellious image of an endlessly diverse nature, or of a certain state of an artist’s expressive soul which seeks fine and intelligent companion in the person of a spectator". You can see it for yourselves already today.
From today until the end of the summer, you can see paintings of the master in the Uzhgorod Museum.
The exhibition runs until August 31. The admission to the opening is free.
