"Today, there was a meeting of the administrative committee which considered 80 reports on administrative offenses" – Uzhgorod City Council informed.
Most reports concerned violations of the city beautification rules, namely the stacking of construction materials and debris in the green and pedestrian areas, putting up stickers advertisements in undesignated locations. Most people admitted their offenses specified in the reports.
Most offenders received a warning. However, there were cases that required to stress out that the violation was serious and could have resulted in adverse effects. An example of such violation is earthworks, namely excavation without proper permits, maps, diagrams of utilities location. Damage to gas or water pipeline could have caused personal injuries, so the committee decided to fine that particular citizen.
"The City Hall once again urges residents to follow the rules of beautification and not litter in Uzhgorod, otherwise they will have to answer for their violations under the law" – the Mayor’s Office called.
