We have already reported about the outbreak of coronavirus in the Uzhgorod supermarket Vopak on Yarotska street. According to the reports, 6 workers became infected there. Today the press talked to the director of the supermarket and local doctors.
Journalists were told that 5 employees in the supermarket had become infected.
Roman Saray, the director of the Vopak Uzhgorod, said that when the coronavirus patient was detected, the management complied with all instructions, in particular, notified law enforcement agencies, medical institutions, etc. All this was done on May 12, all shifts were tested by PCR method.
A total of 5 infected were identified. One worker, who did not have symptoms, was tested negatively for coronavirus, but he still stays at home. He will be tested again in 7 days.
A total of 15 people, who came into contact with the identified infected, were removed from work. On May 15, specialists of the city district branch of the Transcarpathian Regional Laboratory Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine carried out the final disinfection of the store premises.
Roman Saray assures that no one forbade employees to talk about the coronavirus outbreak, as some media reported.
As for the closing of the supermarket, he said that they would comply with all the instructions of the competent services.
