The man, who injured a horse in Rakhiv district, insists that he did not abuse the animal – he says, the horse just fell (Quote)

New developments in the scandal about the incident involving a horse abuse, that took place in Rakhiv district.

While the police are gathering evidence, the animal was inspected by a veterinarian, the man involved in the incident – retired forester Vasyl Maksymyuk – has finally responded.

His post is quoted in the community of Uzhgorod animal advocates, "Everyone has a second chance".  

Thus, according to the post, the man says that he just wanted to take the horse out of his own pasture, and did not drag him with the car – the horse, he says, just fell, and then was released and immediately ran away. He also denies that he was drunk. Here is Maksymyuk’s quote posted in the group:

Obviously, law enforcement officers should look into the matter and give proper assessment, and preferably as soon as possible, given the considerable public outcry.
