Officials of the Onokivtsi village council are suspected of abuse of power while taking the decision to privatize the land in area of 1.5 hectares with a lake.
The prosecutors initiated preliminary inquiry into the abuse of power by officials of the Onokivtsi village council while taking the decision on privatization (Part 2 of Art. 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
It was preceded by the appeal to the prosecutors from Transcarpathians who did not agree with the privatization of the reservoir (lake) which is located in the suburban area in "Shakhta" neighborhood, the "Pidlypnyky" tract in the Onokivtsi village council of Uzhgorod district, and has always been public.Currently, the area where the lake is situated, is surrounded by a fence and citizens no longer have the opportunity to use it.
The investigation was commissioned to officers of Uzhgorod District Police, the procedural control is carried out by the prosecutors.
