During 10-12 of January, 2016, heavy, sometimes very heavy rains, in the mountains with sleet and snow, rise of the temperature to 0 – +7 ° C is expected in Transcarpathian region.
During 11-13 of January, rise of water levels is expected on the rivers of Transcarpathian region
– by 1.0 – 2.0 m in the mountainous and foothill areas of tributaries;
– in the Tisa river, between Rakhiv and Khust and in lower reaches of the Borzhava and the Latorytsia – by 2.5 – 3.5 m, in some lower areas water may breakthrough onto floodplains.
Ice drifting, formation of short-lasting ice jams near bridges is expected.
As of 14.00 on January 10, 2016, rainfall with intensity of up to 20 mm (rain, sleet, in the mountains – snow in some places) continue in the region. In the rivers of the region, there are minor fluctuations in water levels, ice phenomena are weakening – ice is melting.
During January 10, cloudy weather, rain, in some places heavy rain, in the mountains rain with wet snow is expected. Initial daily rise of water levels will be 0.2 – 0.8 m, ice drifting, the formation of short-lasting ice jams near bridges is expected.
