The last of the Mohicans?

As the publication Nove Zakarpattya learned from reliable sources, the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, while being in Kyiv, on February 20, wrote a letter of resignation from the post of the head of the region. In addition, Oleksandr Ledyda wrote the letter of withdrawal from the ranks of the Party of Regions and, consequently, of the resignation from the post of the head of the Transcarpathian Regional PR organization.
 Oleksandr Ledyda’s statement is quite logical in the context of the events that have been taking place in Transcarpathia over last days. His former fellow party members wrote statements of the withdrawal from the party on the same day as their regional leader.
Recall that on the same February 20, statements of withdrawal from the Party of Regions were written first by people’s deputies of Ukraine and then, in a chain reaction, by deputies of different levels – from regional to city.
