The head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Vasyl Hubal opened the "TourEuroCenter Transcarpathia" – the only really large-scale tourism presentation event in Transcarpathia.
The XIII International Tourism Fair began on Thursday, September 25, in Uzhgorod, in the Transcarpathian Regional Drama Theater and on the square near it.
Not only all districts of the region present themselves in the pavilions and tents. Other regions of the state also promote their travel "highlights". Each presenter tries to draw attention to the best they have for tourists – from hotels, natural or historical sites to local specialties.
The exhibition, which presents recreation, health and hotel potential of Transcarpathia and Ukraine, was opened by the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Vasyl Hubal, representatives of Transcarpathian regional and Uzhgorod city councils and the delegate of the State Committee on Tourism.
In particular, the first deputy chairman of the regional council Vasyl Brenzovych, the acting head of the State Agency of Ukraine for Tourism Valentyna Hordiyenok and the Acting Mayor of Uzhgorod Victor Shchadey participated in the event.
The head of the region Vasyl Hubal said that now Transcarpathian tourist facilities can take more than twenty thousand tourists at a time. While visiting presentation pavilions of participants, he paid attention both to representatives of districts of Transcarpathia and visitors from other regions of Ukraine and abroad.
The head of the Transcarpathian Regional Administration gave participants of the Fair souvenirs. "TourEuroCenter Transcarpathia" will last until the end of the day today, and will continue on Friday. During the event, the participants of the Fair from other regions will go on tour around Transcarpathia to see its tourist attractions.
