The largest number of electric power thefts have been in Vynogradiv and Tyachiv districts

The "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" PJSC informs that during the period of February 25 to March 3, 2019, 2017, the company’s employees revealed 31 facts of electricity thefts.

In particular, they made 29 reports of violations by households and 2 reports of violations by legal entities (private entrepreneurs, companies, firms, etc.). 

The most cases of illegal interference in the power grid by household consumers over the past week were found in Vynogradiv and Tyachiv districts (6 violations each). The most common violation is interference in the metering device by its damaging (damaged meter housing, broken glass).

In the legal sector, facts of thefts were detected in 2 districts – Khust and Tyachiv. The most common violation is interference in the metering device by its damaging (damaged meter housing, broken glass).

Also during the last week, Committees to review reports of violation imposed fines totaling UAH 293.63 thousand, of which:

among households – UAH 253.33 thousand;

among legal entities – UAH 40.30 thousand.
