Uzhgorod is celebrating the International Children’s Day. The most crowded location is currently near the historical and cultural complex "Owl’s Nest" and in the Heroes of the Maidan park nearby. This was reported by the press service of the City Council.
Uzhgorod Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv opened the celebration, noting that this year they chose another format for the holiday. "I hope, dear children, that you will enjoy everything. I wish you pleasant holidays. Everyone here today will get nice surprises," – the mayor said. He also thanked the secretary of the Uzhgorod City Council Andriana Gabor, who initiated the innovations, the education department staff, managers of the kindergartens and schools of the city, everyone, who contributed to the organization of numerous events that would be taking place in the city throughout the weekend.
On the stage near the "Owl’s Nest", children are showing their talents – singing, dancing, presenting mini-plays, even in foreign languages.
