On Sunday (2.09), the XVII Gastronomic Festival-Fair "Hutsul Bryndzya" took place in Rakhiv. The largest gastronomic holiday of the region this year set several records, the site of H.Moskal informs. Thousands of guests came to the festival. About five dozen producers of the unique product – sheep bryndzya – came to the festival. They brought to Rakhiv 12 tons of bryndzya. This year, for the first time, the competition for the best Hutsul sheep bryndzya with the participation of French, Italian and Ukrainian experts was held at the festival. 13 samples were presented. The winners of the contest were producers from Lazeshchyna, Chorna Tysa and Rakhiv. The price of this Hutsul bryndzya ranged from 90 to 150 hryvnias per kilo. The festival "Hutsul bryndzya" once again demonstrated its authenticity and colorful traditions of Hutsuls, and Rakhiv district showed the hospitality and natural beauty of the highland district.
