The “Korzo” case. “Lenient” sentence was repealed!

In the case of the seizure of a shop on the main street of the city, there is some news that suggest progress.

The Court of Appeal concluded its consideration of the appeal of the "Mahazyn ‘Vzuttya’" LLC against the verdict of the local court against the former company manager Natalia Zaporozhets.

In May 2015, local court found her guilty of embezzlement and sentenced to four years of imprisonment with conditional exemption from punishment.

The company did not agree with such a lenient sentence and appealed against it.

After an hour in the deliberation room, the judges finally repealed the appealed verdict and appointed a new trial in a local court.

The company proved that during the consideration of the case, substantial violations of procedural law were committed and the "lenient" sentence is illegal – the initiative group said. They stress that finding justice in this case is a complicated and lengthy process which takes years. However, there is a progress and the determination to push the matter through.
